What is planned?

 PUBLIC INQUIRY

On 9 December 2025 at 10am scheduled for three days at County Hall, Cross Street, Beverley, HU17 9BA. REASON FOR INQUIRY

Appeal by FOGGATHORPE ESTATE LIMITED.

Against the enforcement notice served by East Riding of Yorkshire Council.

The notice alleges:

Without planning permission, the erection of four dwellinghouses being #3, #4, #5 & #6 The Barns, Grange Farm, Foggathorpe, YO8 6PY - as indicated on the attached red edge plan and the associated material change of use of agricultural land to, residential use and associated operational development to facilitate the material change of use, being the erection of timber fencing and creation of areas or hardstanding without the grant of planning permission at Grange Farm, Laytham Road, Foggathorpe, YO8 6PR.

An Inspector appointed by the Secretary of State under paragraph 1(1) of Schedule 6 to the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 will attend at the place, date and time shown above to decide the appeal(s).

Members of the public may attend the inquiry and, at the discretion of the Inspector, express their views. If you are disabled or anyone you know who wants to go to the inquiry is disabled, please contact the council to confirm that they can make proper arrangements such as parking spaces, access, seating arrangements and so on.
