What is planned?

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990 PLANNING (LISTED BUILDINGS AND CONSERVATION AREAS) ACT 1990 THE TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING (ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT) (ENGLAND AND WALES) REGULATIONS 2017 (AS AMENDED)

Medway Council as Local Planning Authority has received the following applications which are being advertised to ascertain the views of persons living near the sites and other interested parties. The proposed developments relate to one or more of the following:

  1.  The site of the application is within/affecting the setting of a designated Conservation Area (Section 73) of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990;

MC/25/2080 - Land To The West Of 1 York Farmyard, Lower Twydall Lane, Twydall, Gillingham
Reason 1  
Construction of a self-build detached dwelling with associated access, parking and landscaping.

MC/25/2078 - 13 Park Avenue, Gillingham, Medway, ME7 4AS
Reason 1  
Change of use from 6-person house of multiple occupancy to an 8-bedroom 8-person house in multiple occupation (Sui Generis) together with reinstatement of metal balustrade to front balcony, replacement of existing wooden windows to UPVC white casement opening windows, replacement of existing first floor balcony door and garage doors to UPVC, refurbishment of existing wooden front entrance doors, installation of three rooflights to rear, reinstatement of metal balustrade to rear balcony and creation of cycle store within existing side garage.

Reason 1
Construction of 2 flats on a vacant empty plot.
