NOTICE OF PUBLIC PATH ORDER

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990 SECTION 257

AND PARAGRAPH 1 OF SCHEDULE 14
SOUTH RIBBLE BOROUGH COUNCIL

SOUTH RIBBLE BOROUGH COUNCIL (CENTURION WAY, FARINGTON) PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2025

The above order was made on 30 October 2025. The effect of the order will be to divert sections
of:
(a) Public Footpath FP0704007 from point A to point B for a distance of 160 metres as shown
by a bold black line marked A-B on the order map
(b) Public Bridleway BW0704031 from point C to point D for a distance of 30 metres as shown
by a bold black line marked C-D on the order map
(c) Public Bridleway BW0704031 from point E to point H for a distance of 30 metres and part
of Public Bridleway BW0704030 to point F for a distance of 215 metres as shown by a bold
black line marked E-H-F on the order map
(d) Public Bridleway BW0704024 from point G to point H for a distance of 5 metres as shown
by a bold black line marked G-H on the order map
and create an alternative footpath or bridleway instead on a line

(i) running from point A to point C for a distance of 135 metres as shown by bold black dashes
marked A-C on the order map
(ii) running from point C to point D for a distance of 25 metres as shown by bold back dashes
marked C-D on the order map. This alternative highway will be public bridleway with a
width of 3 metres.
(iii) Running from point E to point G for a distance of 30 metres and then to point F for a
distance of 215 metres as shown by bold back dashes marked E-G-F on the order map.
This alternative highway will be public bridleway with a width of 3 metres

A copy of the order and the order map may be seen free of charge in reception at Civic Centre at West Paddock, Leyland, Lancashire, PR25 1DH between the hours of 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday (inclusive). Copies of the order and map may be bought there at a reasonable price.

Any representations about or objection to the order may be sent or delivered in writing addressed to Legal Services at South Ribble Borough Council Civic Centre West Paddock Leyland Lancashire PR25 1DH not later than 5 December 2025. Please state the grounds on which it is made.

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, South
Ribble Borough Council may itself confirm the Order as an unopposed order. If the order is sent to the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government for confirmation any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order.
