What is planned?

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990

The Secretary of State gives notice of an Order made under Section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping up of Highways (South West) (No. 17) Order 2025” authorising the stopping up of a network of footpaths connecting Tintagel Court and Kelston Road, the whole of Tintagel Close, a length and a southern part width of Kelston Road and four lengths of unnamed footpath which lie to the north of Queens Road at Keynsham, in Bath and North East Somerset. This is to enable development as permitted by Bath and North East Somerset Council under reference 24/04238/FUL.

Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State, National Transport Casework Team, PO Box 1393, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE99 5FQ or nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk (quoting NATTRAN/SW/S247/5954). They may also be inspected during normal opening hours at Keynsham Library and Information Service, Civic Centre, Market Walk, Keynsham, Bristol, BS31 1FS.

Any person who wishes to challenge the validity of the decision to make the Order may apply to the High Court within 6 weeks from 6 November 2025.
