What is planned?

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990

THE SECRETARY OF STATE hereby gives notice of the proposal to make an Order made under section 249 of the above Act to authorise the extinguishment of vehicular rights of a length of Albert Road at Widnes in the Borough of Halton.

COPIES OF THE DRAFT ORDER AND RELEVANT PLAN may be inspected during normal opening hours at Highway Development, Halton Borough Council, Municipal Building, Kingsway, Widnes, WA8 7QF in the 28 days commencing on 06 November 2025 and may be obtained free of charge, from the Secretary of State (quoting reference NATTRAN/NW/S249/6104) at the address stated below.

ANY PERSON MAY OBJECT to the making of the proposed order by stating their reasons in writing to the Secretary of State at nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk or National Transport Casework Team, PO Box 1393, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE99 5FQ, quoting the above reference. Objections should be received by midnight on 04 December 2025. You are advised that your personal data and correspondence will be passed to the applicant/agent to enable your objection to be considered. If you do not wish your personal data to be forwarded, please state your reasons when submitting your objection.
