Swindon Borough Council – Notice of a targeted Consultation on the Highworth Neighbourhood Plan Modification Proposal Modifications Statement

The Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended) Part 5 Regulation 16.

Swindon Borough Council hereby gives notice that Highworth Town Council as the qualifying body has prepared and submitted a neighbourhood development plan Modification Proposal under Part 5 Regulation 15 of The Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended).

This is a targeted consultation, inviting representations specifically relating to the Modifications Statement. Any representations made at the initial pre-submission Regulation 16 consultation have been retained and will be considered by the examiner.

Highworth Town Council has prepared the ‘Highworth Neighbourhood Plan’ Modifications Statement.

This sets out the changes to the Adopted Highworth Neighbourhood Plan to be made by this Modification Proposal.

Copies of the Highworth Neighbourhood Plan Modifications Statement and supporting documentation are available to view on the Swindon Borough Council website:

Representations on the modifications statement are invited during the statutory consultation period which will run from

Thursday 9th of October 2025 to Thursday 20th of November 2025. All representations received will be available to view publicly.

Representations using the form should be sent via email to forwardplanning@swindon.gov.uk

. You may also send representations in writing to Forward Planning, Swindon Borough Council, 5th Floor Wat Tyler West, Beckhampton Street, Swindon, SN1 2JH. All representations received should arrive no later than 5pm on Thursday 20th of November 2025.

Please note that any representations made may include a request to be notified of the local planning authority’s decision under Regulation 19 (whether they wish to make the plan) in relation to the Highworth Neighbourhood Plan.
