Great Yarmouth Borough Council has received the following planning application for development, which is hereby advertised.

The Town and Country Planning (Development Management Procedure)

(England) Order 2015 (Article 15).

THE PROPOSAL BELOW IS ADVERTISED FOR THE FOLLOWING REASONS:

(1) Departure from development plan (2) Major development

• Land south of Links Road and east of Lowestoft Road, Gorleston, Great Yarmouth NR31 6JP: Hybrid planning application seeking – (1) Full planning permission for construction of 442 residential dwellings and associated landscaping, access and highway work, drainage and infrastructure. (2) Outline planning permission for: Up to 70 extra care dwellings (including community facilities and services) (Use Class C3(b)), up to 280sq.m of flexible non-residential floorspace for use as either Commercial, Business and Service (Class E) or Local Community and Learning (Class F) uses, and associated parking, landscaping, drainage and infrastructure, with details of means of access to the extra care units for approval, and details of layout, scale, appearance, landscaping and means of access to the non-residential floorspace reserved for future determination.

Written representations should be sent to the Council or by email to plan@great-yarmouth.gov.uk by no later than 21st November 2025 quoting application number 06/25/0848/O. All representations will be recorded on a public file, be viewable on the Councils website, and will be referred to the Secretary of State’s inspector in the event of an appeal.
