Public Rights of Way Notice

The Cheshire East Borough Council Definitive Map and Statement (Addition of Public Footpath 3 in the Parish of Bexton and Public Footpath 31 in the Town of Knutsford) Modification Order 2025

The above Order, made on the 9 October 2025 if confirmed as made will modify the definitive map and statement for the area by adding to them the footpaths shown as follows:

A footpath commencing on Bexton Lane at OSGR SJ 7469 7720 and running between fields in a generally northerly direction for approximately 258m to the western side of a railway bridge at OSGR SJ 7448 7749 then running in a generally northerly direction for 41m and generally easterly for 48m to a gap in a hedge and terminating on the east side of the hedge at the Knutsford parish boundary at OSGR SJ 7445 7752 AND, A footpath commencing on the Bexton parish boundary at OSGR SJ 7445 7752 then running in a generally north westerly direction for approximately 172m on the east side of a hedge boundary and along the edge of a field to a junction with Knutsford FP6 at OSGR SJ 7435 7767

A copy of the Order and Map has been deposited and may be seen free of charge during normal office hours in the Public Rights of Way office and at the offices of Cheshire East Borough Council Delamere House, Delamere Street, Crewe CW1 2LL. Copies of the Order and the Map may be obtained free of charge by email from prow@cheshireeast.gov.uk

Any representations or objections to the Order may be sent in writing to the Public Rights of Way Manager, Public Rights of Way, c/o Delamere House, Delamere Street, Crewe, CW1 2LL not later than the 10 December 2025. Please state the grounds on which they are made.

If no representations or objections are duly made to the order, or if so made are withdrawn, the Cheshire East Borough Council, instead of submitting the order to the Secretary of State, may itself confirm the order. If the order is submitted to the Secretary of State for the Environment and Rural Affairs, any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with it.
