TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990, SECTION 257
AND PARAGRAPH 1 OF SCHEDULE 14
ASHFIELD DISTRICT COUNCIL
(SUTTON-IN-ASHFIELD FOOTPATH No. 1)
PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2025
The above order was made on 1st October 2025. The effect of the order will be to divert the public footpath commencing from a point, SK 5041 6116, at the junction with the westerly remainder of Sutton-in-Ashfield Footpath No. 1, and proceeding for a distance of approximately 134 metres in a generally east-north-easterly direction to a point, SK 5054 6117, at the junction with the easterly remainder of Sutton In Ashfield Footpath No. 1 and create an alternative footpath commencing from a point, SK 5041 6116, at the junction with the westerly remainder of Sutton-in-Ashfield Footpath No. 1, and proceeding for a distance of approximately 87 metres in a generally north-easterly direction to a point, SK 5046 6122, and then proceeding for a distance of approximately 102 metres in a generally south-easterly direction to a point, SK 5054 6117, at the junction with the easterly remainder of Sutton-in-Ashfield Footpath No. 1, with a width of 2 metres on a tarmac surface throughout, as shown on the order map.
A copy of the order and the order map may be seen free of charge at Ashfield District Council, Council Offices, Urban Road, Kirkby-in-Ashfield from 8.30 am to 5.00 pm on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, from 9.30 am to 5.00 pm on Wednesday and from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm on Friday. Copies of the order and map may be bought there at the price of £1.00.
Any representation about or objection to the order may be sent or delivered in writing addressed to Planning Admin, Ashfield District Council, Council Offices, Urban Road, Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Nottingham, NG17 8DA Email:

no later than 28th November 2025. Please state the grounds on which it is made.
If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, Ashfield District Council may itself confirm the order as an unopposed order. If the order is sent to the Secretary of State for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order.
