25/02407/VAR - 6 - 7 The Cloisters Sunderland SR2 7BD. The Cloisters SR2 Limited is applying to the Local Planning Authority for: Variation of conditions 2 (plans), 6 (landscaping plan) and 7 (hardstanding and parking) attached to 22/02594/FUL (Change of use to 9no. self-contained apartments, including replacement windows and doors, associated access, landscaping and parking. Removal of 1no.tree to front. to alter the approved external layout.
This relates to a proposal which affects the setting of The Sunderland Sikh Association, Christ Church, Ryhope Road which is included in the Statutory List of Buildings of Architectural or Historic Interest.
25/02164/VAR - Land North Of Emsworth Road Sunderland. Gentoo Group is applying to the Local Planning Authority for: Variation of condition 2 (plans) and condition 5 (Play equipment) of previously approved application 24/00474/VAR (relating to previous planning permissions 22/02357/VAR and 21/02679/FU4 for the erection of 115no residential dwellings (Class C3), to relocate the approved internal play area within the site.
25/02288/VA4 - Land Bound by High Street West, Villiers Street, Coronation Street and Nile Street (excluding 177 High Street West And 1-2 Villiers Street) And Site Of 19-21 Nile Street, Sunderland, SR1 1EY. Siglion Developments LLP is applying to the Local Planning Authority for: Application for variation of conditions 2, 4, 13, 14, 16, 22, 23, 25 and 26 attached to planning application 24/00562/FU4 to update drawings in line with project development and allow for review of noise mitigation measures
This relates to a proposal which affects the setting of The Bridge Hotel 145, 170 -171, 173 and 176 High Street West which are included in the Statutory List of Buildings of Architectural or Historic Interest and relates to development on land/buildings owned by the Sunderland City Council.
25/01696/LOU - 56-90 High Street West Sunderland SR1 3DP. Sunderland City Council is applying to Sunderland City Council in its capacity as interested Local Planning Authority for; Outline planning application for a mixed-used development which could include retail, food and drink, commercial, offices, residential uses and serviced apartments (Use Classes C1, C3, E and sui generis), demolition of the existing buildings (full or partial), demolition of the pedestrian bridge over St Mary's Boulevard, with associated infrastructure and landscaping works (all matters reserved except access)
(additional Environmental Impact Assessment information received 17/10/25 and response to Active Travel England comments received 13/10/25)
The proposed development does not accord with the provisions of the Development Plan is situated within 10 metres of a relevant railway land.
The application relates to a proposal which affects the setting of the Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Bridge Street; Wearmouth Bridge; Monkwearmouth Rail Bridge; Elephant Tea Rooms, 64-66 Fawcett Street; Hutchinson’s Buildings, Mackie’s Corner and 110, 111 and 112 High Street West, which are included in the Statutory List of Buildings of Architectural or Historic Interest. The proposed development is in close proximity to the Sunniside Conservation Area boundary.
The above application relates to development intended to be carried out by the City of Sunderland.
