I refer to the above planning appeal which has been made to the Secretary of State against the decision of Wakefield Metropolitan District Council to refuse the above application for planning permission by Mr Andrew Askew.

The appeal will be determined on the basis of an Inquiry. The Procedure to be followed is set out in the Town and Country Planning Appeals (Determination by Inspectors) (Inquiry Procedure) (England) Rules 2000, as amended.

The Inquiry is scheduled to commence on the

11 November 2025 at 10am and sit for up to

4 days. These are scheduled to be: 11 November - 14 November (inclusive). The Inquiry will be held at the Kingswood Suite, Town Hall, Wood Street, Wakefield WF1 2HQ.

Members of the public may attend the inquiry and, at the discretion of the Inspector, express their views. If you are disabled or anyone you know who wants to go to the inquiry is disabled, please contact the Council on 01924 302593 to confirm they can make proper arrangements such as parking spaces, access, seating arrangements and so on.

Please be advised that the appellant has submitted additional information, including amendments to the proposed landscaping scheme.
