What is planned?

Notice under Article 13 of the Town & Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) Order 2015, Section 67 & 73 of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990, and Regulation 5 & 5A of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Regulations 1990.

North Yorkshire Council (Craven) has received the following applications that are required to be advertised under the above legislation for the reasons stated.

Application No: ZA25/27298/OUT

Proposal: Outline permission for construction of single self build dwelling. Access considered with all other matters reserved for Mrs Helen Reed

Location: Land To South West Of 30 Nart Scar Cowling BD22 0DL

Reason: Affects the character and appearance of a Conservation Area.

Application No: ZA25/27365/HH

Proposal: Householder permission for 2 storey side extension projecting to a gable front and rear with single storey rear living room extension. Ground floor lean-to extension to front elevation for Mr Dominic Kay

Reason: Affects the character and appearance of a Conservation Area.

Proposal: Advertisement consent for a vinyl graphic applied to one large window facing Sheep Street, displaying the menu and providing privacy for the kitchen. Internal neon signage, visible through the windows but not externally mounted. Non illuminated Menu sign on the facade facing High Street fixed to building. A principal branding element on the south-facing elevation, softly illuminated by a slim linear LED lighting strip positioned above the sign. Use of a restrained blue-and-white colour palette, consistent with Yorkies’ established brand identity for Yorkies Fish And Chips Ltd

Reason: Affects the character and appearance of a Conservation Area.

Application No: ZA25/27006/FUL

Proposal: Full planning permission for conversion and extension of existing buildings to store and toilet/shower block for Mr Tim Ferguson

Location: High Adventure Keighley Road Cowling BD22 0AA

Reasons: Would affect the route of a public right of way. Affects the character and appearance of a Conservation Area.

Representations can also be sent in writing to Development Management, 1 Belle Vue Square, Broughton Road, Skipton, BD23 1FJ so as to arrive no later than 13th November 2025.

All comments received will be available for public inspection and will be viewable on the internet along with the application details. However, we will endeavour to prevent signatures, telephone numbers and email addresses from appearing on the comments published on the internet.
