Wiltshire, Multiple Roads, Temporary Closures Due To Various Works

What is planned?

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

A) South Lane (Part), Landford: from its property known as Hillcrest for a distance of approximately 85m in a westerly direction to enable South West Water to carry out water main and associated works. Alternative route via South Lane (unaffected length) – North Lane – Forest Road – South Lane (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 17 November 2025 and the closure will be required for 3 days. For further information please contact South West Water on 03443 462020.

B) A338 (Part), Laverstock and Ford: from its roundabout junction with the A36 to its junction with Old Malthouse Lane to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated work. Alternative route via A338 (unaffected length) – A303 – A345 – A36 – A30 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 17 November 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 until 19 November 2025. C) A30 (Part), Salisbury, Laverstock and Ford: from its roundabout junction with Pearce Way to its roundabout junction with A338 to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated works. Alternative route via A338 – A303 – A345 – A36 – A30 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 17 November 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 until 22 November 2025. D) Norfolk Road (Part), Salisbury: from its junction with A3094 for a distance of approximately 250m in a southerly direction to enable South West Water to carry out water main and associated works. Alternative route via Wiltshire Road – Parsonage Green – Saxon Road – A3094 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 17 November 2025 and the closure will be required until 12 December 2025. For further information please contact SGN on 0800 1912100.

E) Sutton Road (Part), Fovant: from its junction with Moor Hill to its junction with Dean Lane to enable Wessex Water to carry out ducting and associated works. Alternative route via Dean Lane – A30 – C64 – C276 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 17 November 2025 and the closure will be required until 28 November 2025. F) Stonehenge Road (Part), Durrington: from its property known as Wylyeeme 41 to its junction with High Street.

G) High Street (Part), Durrington: from its junction with Stonehenge Road to its junction with No.23 High Street.

H) Stonehenge Road (Part), Amesbury: from its junction with A303 Countess Roundabout to its junction with Stonehenge Road to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway and footway resurfacing, drainage CCTV investigation survey and associated works. Alternative route via High Street (unaffected length) – B3085 – A345 – Stonehenge Road (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 30 October 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 until 31 October 2025. I) Church Street (Part), Bowerchalke: from outside its property known as Chase Cottage for a distance of approximately 100m in a north westerly direction to enable R Moore Contractors to carry out new foul connection. Alternative route via Church Street (unaffected length) – Cuddon Street – Stowford Lane – High Lane – The Causeway – South Street – Bowerchalke Road – Church Street (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 27 October 2025 and the closure will be required until 31 October 2025. For further information please contact R Moore Contractors on 01747 821478.

J) Parsonage Hill (Part), Pitton and Farley: from its junction with Church Road for a distance of approximately 50m in a westerly direction to enable Southern Water to carry out chamber repair and associated works. Alternative route via Parsonage Hill (unaffected length) – The Street – Church Road and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 30 October 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 17:00 for 1 day. Orders A to J will have a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (SOUTHERN WILTSHIRE) (OFF STREET PARKING PLACES) ORDER 2022 (AMENDMENT NO.3) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that on 15 October 2025 Wiltshire Council made the above mentioned Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 the effect of which will be to amend The County of Wiltshire (Southern Wiltshire) (Off Street Parking Places) Order 2022 by introducing Amesbury Sports Centre Car Park to the Order, operating Monday to Friday, 3 hours No return within 3 hours. A copy of the Order can be obtained via email request to TrafficOrders@wiltshire.gov.uk

. Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in the Order on the grounds that it is not within the relevant Section or Sections of the Act or on the grounds that if any requirement of that Section or of Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act or any regulation made under the said Schedule, has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court. The Order will come into operation on 27 October 2025.
