What is planned?

KINGSWOOD ROAD, GILLINGHAM (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable water supply works to be carried out

Kingswood Road, Gillingham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontage of 1B Kingswood Road. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Railway Street, Ingram Road, Forge Lane, Parr Avenue, Burnt Oak Terrace and East Street.

This order will come into force on Monday, 24 November 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 24 November 2025 and are programmed for completion within five days. The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.
