PERTH AND KINROSS COUNCIL
What is planned?
NOTICE is hereby given that PERTH AND KINROSS COUNCIL, as the
planning authority for the Perth and Kinross area, are proposing to
designate a Short-term Let Control Area for Highland Perthshire
and the Northern part of Eastern Perthshire housing market areas,
subject to Scottish Ministerial approval. Once a Short-term Let
Control Area has effect, the use of a dwellinghouse for the purpose
of short-term letting is deemed to involve a material change of use
and therefore requires planning permission. Change of use of a flat
to a short-term let already requires and will continue to require
planning permission. Representation may be made to the Council
on the proposal by 22 December 2025. Details of how to respond,
a map of and a statement of reasons for the proposed short-term
let control area together with further information are available at
https//consult.pkc.gov.uk/. Alternatively, the map, statement of
reasons and further information may be inspected free of charge
during opening hours at the Main Reception Desk, Pullar House,
35 Kinnoull Street, Perth, PH1 5GD. If not using the online
consultation hub response, any representation should be emailed
to Housingstrategy@pkc.gov.uk, or submitted in writing to the
Place Strategies and Chief Planning Officer, Pullar House,
35 Kinnoull Street, Perth, PH1 5GD by 22 December 2025.
Any written representation should state the address of the person
making the representation, the capacity in which they do so, the
matter to which it relates and the grounds upon which it is made.
