Proposed Development at Former SCC HQ, County Hall, Penrhyn Road Kingston Upon Thames, KT1 2EA Mrs Vanessa Joyce has applied to The Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames for planning permission for:
Variation of Condition Application under Section 73 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 to carry out development following a grant of permission (1 (Approved Plans), Condition 12 (Evidence), condition 28 (Energy Strategy) and condition 33 (Biodiversity Method Statement) of planning permission ref.: 2003/339 FUL. (Refurbishment, restoration and extension of the County Hall (Grade II) to provide flexible commercial uses (class E) and residential uses (class C3), demolition of the Original Building and The Computer Wing Building, erection of replacement buildings of between 2 and 6 storeys for residential use (class C3), alterations to the existing boundary including Nos. 5 & 7 Millers Road, new access for associated public realm and landscaping, highways works, car and cycle parking and all ancillary and associated works) to allow the removal of basement level Block A2 to reflect an updated energy strategy and waste management strategy, amendment to ground level layout, changes to basement and basement retained areas. (This application is accompanied by an Environmental Impact Assessment Statement of Conformity)
