(MAXWELL AVENUE, BEARSDEN)

(TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

On the 23 October 2025 the East Dunbartonshire Council made the above named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of emergency service vehicles, vehicles engaged in the works, and those vehicles requiring access to properties and land adjacent to the closed section of road when its safe and practical to do so) on a section of Maxwell Avenue, Bearsden, from the East Dunbartonshire Council/Glasgow City Council Boundary which extends from a point 350 metres or thereby northwest of its junction with the A739 Bearsden Road and its junction with Murrayfield Drive, Bearsden, by reason of works being executed on or near this road.

This Order will operate from 06.00 hours on Sunday, 02 November 2025 until 18.00 hours on Sunday,  09 November 2025.

Alternative Routes

The alternative routes will be by way Maxwell Avenue, Canniesburn Road, the A809 Drymen Road, Canniesburn Toll Roundabout, the A739 Switchback Road, Bearsden, Bearsden Road, Ilay Avenue, Ilay Road and Westerton Avenue, and these routes will be sign posted. Local alternative routes will also be sign posted.
