Notice Of Consent Determined Under Section 37 Of The Electricity Act 1989 Consent Has Been Granted Under Section 37 Of The Electricity Act 1989 By National Grid For: Modification of a 400kV overhead line
Development Location:The development passes through two local authority areas and is required to facilitate tunnelling works.
GRAVESHAM: Easting: 567427, Northing: 174136, Eastcourt Marshes Electricity Distribution Site, east of Met Police and National Maritime Training Centres, off Mark Lane, Gravesend,
DA12 2HN.
THURROCK: Easting: 566310, Northing: 175884, Land to the south of Tilbury Electricity Sub Station Road, Off Fort Road, Tilbury, Essex.
Detailed Description (Thurrock): Three existing pylons will be removed, and one new pylon will be erected (a net loss of two pylons) along with a slight change of alignment of the existing overhead line so that it connects into the proposed new Cable Sealing End Compound. This short new span of approximately 209m will result in the net loss (removal) of approximately 393m of overhead line that is currently associated with the two pylons to be removed.
Detailed Description (Gravesham): One existing terminal pylon will be removed, and one new pylon will be erected to facilitate a realignment. The new span will be 325m long, replacing an existing span of 400m and provide a net loss of approximately 78m of overhead line.
