25/02042/VAR - Former Simpson Street School Simpson Street Sunderland SR4 6DR. Building Design (Northern) Ltd is applying to the Local Planning Authority for planning permission for:
Removal of conditions 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 13 as attached to planning permission 20/00391/FU4.
The proposed development does not accord with the provisions of the Development Plan and relates to a proposal which affects the setting of former Simpson Street School which is included in the Statutory List of Buildings of Architectural or Historic Interest.
25/01466/LP3 - 5 Elms West Sunderland SR2 7BY. Sunderland City Council is applying to the Local Planning Authority for Change of use from dwelling house (Use Class C3) to provide supported accommodation consisting of 7no. Bedrooms, an office and shared kitchen space (Use Class C2) (Amended plan received 10.10.2025, reducing bedrooms from 9 to 7 and highlighting location of office).
The above application relates to development intended to be carried out by the City of Sunderland.
25/00042/FUL - Land at Wearside Golf Club Offerton Village Sunderland SR4 9JT. APC Land Solutions is applying to the Local Planning Authority for planning permission for: The creation of a driving range, new short course putting green and associated earthworks; installation of a driving range shelter; new car park and associated access. (additional / amended details received 03/10/2025 and amended Transport Statement received 08/10/2025).
The proposed development does not accord with the provisions of the Development Plan and relates to a proposal which affects the setting of Penshaw Monument which is included in the Statutory List of Buildings of Architectural or Historic Interest

is applying to the Local Planning Authority for: Reserved Matters Application (access, appearance, landscaping, layout and scale) following outline approval 21/02676/OU4) for the development of 109no. dwellings with associated access, landscaping and infrastructure.
The proposed development does not accord with the provisions of the Development Plan.

Ghanshyam Properties Ltd is applying to the Local Planning Authority for: Change of use from bar to 8 bed HMO to accommodate students. Installation of 3no windows to rear elevation and block up rear door. This relates to a proposal which affects the setting of 47 West Sunniside which is included in the Statutory List of Buildings of Architectural or Historic Interest.

Ghanshyam Properties Ltd is applying to the Local Planning Authority for: Internal alterations to accomodate 8 rooms for students, removal of external ventilation system duct work, installation 3no windows to rear elevation and block up rear door.

Sunderland City Council is applying to the Local Planning Authority for: Proposed development to comprise of office, welfare and workshop areas, fleet vehicle garages, a gritter vehicle shed and salt barn (8000 tonne capacity) building, external hardstanding areas for additional fleet parking, skip storage and ancillary facilities (including a truck wash bay, refuelling area, EV charging and containerised storage). Staff parking for 50 vehicles.
The above application relates to development intended to be carried out by Sunderland City Council.
