What is planned?

I give notice that Rossendale Borough Council is applying to Rossendale Borough Council for planning permission for: Demolition of existing market stalls / shop units on the west and the retention / alteration of retained market stalls on the east (flanking Bright Street); the erection of a canopy feature (667.7 sqm); erection of a single storey café with public toilets (145.5 sqm GEA) with associated external pavement café; the creation of a hard and soft landscaped external public space for the purposes of temporary 'pop up' market stalls, community event space and informal leisure, with associated lighting and cycle parking; the resurfacing / alteration of part of Union Square (also known as Union Street (north-south)) and provision of 2 disabled parking spaces; and the re-surfacing of adjacent land to the west of Union Square to facilitate ongoing access to adjacent properties.
