What is planned?
(Hall Lane, Shenfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Hall Lane, Shenfield in the Borough of Brentwood, from its junction with Heards Lane for a distance of approximately 340m in a south easterly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 12th November 2025 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411001WG7TC62D – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Hall Lane, A1023, A128, Doddinghurst Road, Hall Lane and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 22nd October 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Coxtie Green Road, Pilgrims Hatch) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1)
of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Coxtie Green Road, Pilgrims Hatch in the Borough
of Brentwood, from a point approximately 75m north west of its junction with Mores Lane for a distance of approximately 30m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 28th October 2025 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30043428447 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new electrical supply works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
An alternative route is available via A128, Crown Road, Navestock Side, Princes Road, Tan House Lane, Horseman Side, Goatswood Lane, Church Road, Chequers Road and vice versa (with access only into Coxtie Green Road).
The Order came into effect on 8th October 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Fryerning Lane, Ingatestone) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Fryerning Lane, Ingatestone in the Borough of Brentwood, from its junction with The Meads for a distance of approximately 45m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 30th October 2025 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30040963720 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works
with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
An alternative route is available via Blackmore Road, Mill Green Road, Mill Lane, Ingatestone Road, Loves Green, Wyses Road, Highwood Road, The Causeway, Highwood Road, A414, B1002 and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 8th October 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Wigley Bush Lane, South Weald) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Wigley Bush Lane, South Weald in the Borough of Brentwood, from a point approximately 105m south of its junction with Weald Road for a distance of approximately 30m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 27th October 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30017233737 – UK Power Networks).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new installation works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
An alternative route is available via A1023, Weald Road and vice versa (with access only into Wigley Bush Lane).
The Order came into effect on 8th October 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Wyatts Green Road, Doddinghurst) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Wyatts Green Road, Doddinghurst in the Borough of Brentwood, from a point approximately 310m south west of its junction with Swallows Cross Road for a distance of approximately 55m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 27th October 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX06160394JB – Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new water main connection works are undertaken by Affinity Water.
An alternative route is available via Wyatts Green Road, Church Lane, Doddinghurst Road, Ongar Road, A1023, Maryland Interchange, B1002, Thoby Lane, Swallows Cross Road, Wyatts Green Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 8th October 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
