Public Notice of Demolition (Final)

1. We, Rykneld Homes Limited, for and on behalf of North East Derbyshire District Council (“the Council”), give public notice that the Council intends to demolish buildings 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 34, 47, 48, 49 and 50 The Bungalows, Birkinstyle Road, Stonebroom DE55 6LH , for the following reasons:
The Purpose of the demolition of the existing bungalows is necessary for the regeneration and development of energy efficient new build bungalows.
2. The proposed demolition date is from February 2026.
3. The date when any final demolition notice or notices relating to the building or buildings described in the attached Schedule will cease to be in force, unless extended or revoked under Paragraph 15 of Schedule 5 to the Housing Act 1985, is 10th October 2027.
4. The right to buy will not arise in respect of the building or buildings described in the attached Schedule or (as the case may be) in respect of any dwelling-house contained in them.
5. There may be a right to compensation under Section 138C of the Housing Act 1985 in respect of certain expenditure incurred in respect of any existing claim to exercise the right to buy.
