APPLICATION FOR MLA/2025/00411: Chichester Channel Oyster Reef
Notice is hereby given that Mr. Barny Hobbs, Blue Marine Foundation, South Building, Somerset House, Strand, London, WC2R 1LA has applied to the Marine Management Organisation (MMO) under the Marine and Coastal Access Act 2009, Part 4, for a marine licence to undertake the deposit of up to 13,200 tonnes of cultch (molluscan shell) and/or local gravels over the Chichester Harbour site area, this will be followed by the introduction of live oysters (Ostrea edulis). This will be completed in a phased approach over a five-year period.

Representations in respect of the application should ordinarily be made by:
- Visiting the MMOs' Public Register (

) and accessing the Public Representation; section of case reference MLA/2025/00411.

or alternatively
- By letter addressed to Marine Management Organisation, Tyneside House, Skinnerburn Road, Newcastle Business Park, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE4 7AR
In all cases, correspondence must:
- Be received within 28 days of the date of the first notice (1);
- Quote the case reference; and
- Include an address to which correspondence relating to the representation or objection may be sent.
The Marine Management Organisation will pass to the applicant a copy of any objection or representation we receive.
