TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990

The Secretary of State gives notice of an Order made under Section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping up of Highway (North West) (No.29) Order 2025” authorising the stopping up of an irregular shaped eastern part width of Highfield Drive at Farnworth, in the Metropolitan Borough of Bolton. This is to enable development as permitted by Bolton Council under reference 12454/21.

Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State, National Transport Casework Team, PO Box 1393, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE99 5FQ or nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk (quoting NATTRAN/NW/S247/6057). They may also be inspected during normal opening hours at Farnworth Library, Market Street, Farnworth, Bolton, BL4 7PG.

Any person who wishes to challenge the validity of the decision to make the Order may apply to the High Court within 6 weeks from 8 October 2025.
