What is planned?

PLANNING APPLICATIONS

Great Yarmouth Borough Council has received the following planning applications for development in the Borough, which are hereby advertised:

The Town and Country Planning

(Development Management Procedure) (England) Order 2015 (Article 15).

THE PROPOSAL BELOW IS ADVERTISED FOR THE FOLLOWING REASONS:

(1) A Major Development (2) Affects the setting of a Conservation area (3) Contrary to policy

  • Beach Estate & Sandsgate Caravan Parks (trading as Sandsgate, St Thomas’s Road, Hemsby; Variation of Condition 1(a) of the deemed planning permission granted by virtue of Caravan Sites and Control of Development Act 1960 and the existing Site Licence dated 25th June 2013, ref: HE/0077/00004/00000/CAR/RF/conditions, to remove the existing seasonal-occupancy period restriction which limits site occupation to use only by caravans for holiday purposes between 20th March and 31st October in any year, and instead allow year-long occupation of caravans for holiday purposes. Application No: 06/25/0659/F

  • Land Beach Park, Kings Loke, Hemsby; Variation of Condition 2 of the deemed planning permission granted by virtue of Caravan Sites and Control of Development Act 1960 and the existing Site Licence dated 16th January 1980, ref: BF116155700, to remove the existing seasonal-occupancy period restriction which limits occupation to use only by caravans for holiday purposes from the 20th March to 31st October in any year, and instead allow year-long occupation of caravans for holiday purposes. Application No: 06/25/0658/F

  • Land at Gas House Quay, junction of Southtown Road and Malthouse Lane, Gorleston-on-Sea; Installation of 3no. 1600-tonne capacity silos and their use for importing, processing, storing and distributing cement; Installation of associated out-loading facility, weighbridge and portacabin office. Application No: 06/25/0719/F

  • 5 Sands Close, Hopton; Erection of a single-storey outbuilding for use as a hairdressing salon for operation on an appointment-only basis. Application No: 06/25/0640/F (3)

Written representations should be sent to plan@great-yarmouth.gov.uk by no later than 24th October 2025 quoting the application number. All representations will be recorded on a public file, be viewable on the Council’s website, and will be referred to the Secretary of State’s inspector in the event of an appeal.
