We are exploring the potential for a major data centre on land at North Lanrigg, Newarthill North Lanarkshire. The facility would store and process data in association with the emerging digital economy and requirements of artificial intelligence applications.

We are looking to engage with the local community and as part of our pre-application consultation we are holding an exhibition to enable people to find out more about the proposal and to provide us with their views. Comments and feedback should be made by the 26th of November 2025 through the online comment form or to Greig Templeton, Planning Manager via email gt@ili-energy.com or 01698 891 352 or by post to ILI Aurelius Limited, 33 Bothwell Road, Hamilton ML3 0AS.

Comments made to us are not formal representations to the Council. If we submit an application for consent, there will be an opportunity to make formal representation on the application to the Council.
