York Road - Application for Consent to Construct Works on Common Land

COMMONS ACT 2006 - SECTION 38: WESTWOOD & HURN COMMON
APPLICATION FOR CONSENT TO CONSTRUCT WORKS ON COMMON LAND
Notice is hereby given that Beverley Racecourse Ltd has applied to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for consent under section 38 of the Commons Act 2006 to carry out restricted works on Westwood & Hurn Common, Beverley. The Planning Inspectorate will be deciding the application on behalf of the Secretary of State.
The proposed works are for: Moving of the cattle grid on York Road and the installation of 101.2m of new fencing and 60 square metres of Tarmac surfacing. The works are located at: York Road, Beverley, HU17 8QZ - National Grid ref TA0170139645.
A copy of the application and accompanying map can be inspected at Beverley Racecourse Office, York Road, HU17 8QZ from 1st October 2025 to 31st October 2025. Access to these documents is restricted by appointment only, so please check with the location before attending.
