The Council has received the following planning applications:-

Development at: HM Prison Hindley Barracks Road Bickershaw Wigan WN2 5TH

Application No’s:

A/25/99480/VARMAJ

For Planning Permission: Section 73 application to vary conditions 2, 4, 6, 9, 15, 17, 18, 20, 21 and 22 of planning permission A/22/93217/MAJPSI – to enable the amended layout in the northern area of the site, amalgamation of the existing kitchen, workshop and staff facility, and to phase the submission of detailed drainage information.

A/25/99481/MAJPSI

For Planning Permission: Erection of a new houseblock for up to 247 prisoners, gatehouse extension, segregation building extension, layout of new multi-use games area, parking and associated ancillary development.

Applicant: Ministry of Justice.

The proposed development does not accord with the provisions of the Development Plan in force in the area in which the land to which the application relates is situated.
