What is planned?

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990 

The Secretary of State gives notice of an Order made under Section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping up of Highways (South West) (No.14) Order 2025” authorising the stopping up of twenty four irregular shaped areas of highway as lie south of Highview Road and east of Frys Hill and Barrington Close at Kingswood, in the District of South Gloucestershire. 

This is to enable development as permitted by South Gloucestershire Council, under reference P23/03393/F. Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State, National Transport Casework Team, PO Box 1393, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE99 5FQ or nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk (quoting NATTRAN/SW/ S247/6038). 

They may also be inspected during normal opening hours at Kingswood Civic Centre, High Street, Kingswood, Bristol, BS15 9TR. 

Any person who wishes to challenge the validity of the decision to make the Order may apply to the High Court within 6 weeks from 03 October 2025.
