Farringdon, Public Inquiry Into Planning Enforcement Appeal

What is planned?

PUBLIC INQUIRY

On 21st October 2025 at 10.00am scheduled for 4 days at: East Devon Business Centre, Heathpark Way, Honiton, EX14 1SF.

Reason for Inquiry: Appeals by FWS Carter & Sons Ltd Against Enforcement Notices served by East Devon District Council.

The Notices allege:

Unauthorised operational development consisting of the erection of a building for use as an NHS vaccination centre and an associated car parking area, without planning permission, and;

The erection of a building on the site of a former poultry shed, without planning permission On land adjacent Greendale Farm Shop, Sidmouth Road, Farringdon, EX5 2JU.

An Inspector appointed by the Secretary of State under paragraph 1 (1) of Schedule 6 to the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 will attend at the place, date and time shown above to decide the appeals.

Members of the public may attend the Inquiry and, at the discretion of the Inspector, express their views. If you are disabled or anyone you know who wants to go to the Inquiry is disabled, contact the Council at: planninqappeals@eastdevon.aov.uk, to confirm they can make proper arrangements such as parking spaces, access, seating arrangements and so on.
