Frettenham, Temporary Footpath Diversion Order For Planning Purposes
What is planned?

Notice Of Public Path Order Town And Country Planning Act 1990, Section 257, 261 And Paragraph 7 Of Schedule 14 (Footpath 2, Frettenham) Temporary Public Path Diversion Order 2024
The above Order was confirmed by Norfolk County Council on 23rd September 2025.
The effect of the Order as confirmed is to:
Temporarily divert the entire length and width of Frettenham Footpath Number 2, commencing at point A (grid reference E624062, N320674), proceeding generally in a north-easterly direction for a distance of 200 metres to point B (grid reference E624227, N320780), where it continues generally in an easterly direction for a distance of 327 metres to its termination at point C (grid reference E624549, N320751), for a total distance between points A-B-C of approximately 527 metres; and;
Provide the following route as a temporary replacement highway: a new footpath commencing at point A (grid reference E624062, N320674), proceeding generally in a south-easterly direction for a distance of 342 metres to point D (grid reference E624321, N320460), where it continues in a north easterly direction for a distance of 370 metres to its termination at point C (grid reference E624549, N320751), for a total distance between points A-D-C of approximately 712 metres.
The temporary diversion of the footpath to be diverted shall cease to have effect on 31st December 2036 or on the date on which Norfolk County Council certify that the terms of Article 4 of the Order have been complied with, whichever sooner.
Copies of the Order and Plan have been deposited at the offices of Norfolk County Council, County Hall, Martineau Lane, Norwich, Norfolk, NR1 2DH and may be inspected free of charge during normal office hours. Copies of the Order and Plan may also be bought there for £5.00. A copy of the Order and Plan will also be viewable at Norfolk County Council's planning service: (https://eplanning.norfolk.gov.uk) under application number FUL/2019/0043.
The Order comes into force on the date on which Norfolk County Council certify that the terms of Article 2 of the Order have been complied with but if any person aggrieved by the Order desires to question its validity or that of any provision contained in it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act, or on the ground that any requirement of that Act or any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the confirmation of the Order, he or she may apply to the High Court for any of these purposes under section 287 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 within 6 weeks from the date on which notice is first published as required by paragraph 7 of Schedule 14 to that Act.
