TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990
The Secretary of State gives notice of an Order made under Section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping up of Highways (North East) (No.19) Order 2025” authorising the stopping up of three irregular shaped areas of highway as lie to the east of Cargo Fleet Lane and to the south of Cobblewood at Thorntree, in Middlesborough. This is to enable development as permitted by Middlesborough Council under reference 24/0214/MAJ.
Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State, National Transport Casework Team, PO Box 1393, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE99 5FQ or nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk (quoting NATTRAN/NE/ S247/6016). They may also be inspected during normal opening hours at Marshall Avenue Post Office, Marshall Avenue, Middlesbrough, TS3 9AX.
Any person who wishes to challenge the validity of the decision to make the Order may apply to the High Court within 6 weeks from 01 October 2025.
