Notice of Intended Public Meeting

Tarmac is preparing a planning application for Arcow Quarry near Helwith Bridge, to seek permission to extract additional stone from within the existing disturbed quarry over an extended 15-year period.

The proposals, which focus on a small internal area within the existing quarry footprint, will help secure local jobs, continue financial support for the community, and deliver significant environmental enhancements.

Tarmac invite anyone interested in the application, to attend an exhibition of the proposals. This will be held at Dry Rigg Quarry, (BD24 0EL) on 1st October, between 12pm and 7pm.
