What is planned?

Notice under Article 13 of the Town & Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) Order 2015, Section 67 & 73 of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990, and Regulation 5A of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Regulations 1990.

North Yorkshire Council (Craven) has received the following applications that are required to be advertised under the above legislation for the reasons stated:

Application No: ZA25/27315/FUL

Proposal: Change of use from agricultural land to form ancillary outdoor sports, education and ecological studies area including formation of track, installation of steps and 2.no bridges, erection of timber water station and construction of pond and associated landscaping (retrospective) for High Adventure Outdoor Education Centre Ltd

Location: High Adventure Keighley Road Cowling BD22 OAA

Reason: Affects the character and appearance of a Conservation Area.

Application No: ZA25/27312/HH

Proposal: Householder permission for rear extension incorporating terrace and rear dormer for Mr Neil Schofield

Location: Godfrey House Bell Busk BD23 4DT

Reason: Affects the character and appearance of a Conservation Area.

Application No: ZA25/27311/LBC

Proposal: Listed building consent for the formation and alteration of new/existing external openings. Installation of new rooflights into rear single storey lean-to roof. New replacement canopy to side elevation. New/replacement doors and windows. Internal alterations for Mr Oliver Wood

Location: Hill Top Cottage Coniston Cold BD23 4EA

Reason: Proposes works to a Listed Building.

Application No: ZA25/27117/FUL

Proposal: Full planning permission for the demolition of garage and construction of new house for Mr Andrew Bennett

Location: 8 Victoria Road Cowling BD22 0AR

Reasons: Is a proposal for demolition of an unlisted building in a Conservation Area. Affects the character and appearance of a Conservation Area.

The applications are available to view and for comment online at publicaccess.cravendc.gov.uk/online-applications/ or electronically at 1 Belle Vue Square, Broughton Road, Skipton, BD23 1FJ.

Representations can also be sent in writing to Development Management, 1 Belle Vue Square, Broughton Road, Skipton, BD23 1FJ so as to arrive no later than 16th October 2025. All comments received will be available for public inspection and will be published on the internet along with the application details. However, we would advise against including your signature, telephone numbers and email addresses unless you are happy for these to be seen by the public.
