Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Marsh Baldon, Pebble Hill, OX44 9ND

Prohibition of Through Traffic

Date of Order: 22 September 2025

Coming into force: 1 October 2025

This Order is being introduced because of fibre cable installation works which are anticipated to take 15 days to complete.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit vehicles proceeding in the section of Pebble Hill from Thruppfield Cottage to Parsonage Farm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via The Green – Pebble Hill – Road between Marsh Baldon to Toot Baldon and vice versa.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T16288/MR)

East Challow, Letcombe Hill

Prohibition of Through Traffic

Date of Order: 22 September 2025

Coming into force: 29 September 2025

This Order is being introduced because of gas pipe replacement works which are anticipated to be completed 10 October 2025. This is a 24 hour daily road closure.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in the length of Letcombe Hill from outside No.13 to The British Legion. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. Alternative route maintained for cyclists and pedestrians. The alternative route for traffic is via Letcombe Hill, Vicarage Hill, B4507 Challow Road, Ham Road, A417, Letcombe Hill and vice versa.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T16308/AC)

Garsington, Southend

Prohibition of Through Traffic

Date of Order: 22 September 2025

Coming into force: 29 September 2025

This Order is being introduced because of Gigaclear fibre cabling works which are anticipated to be completed 3 October 2025. This is a 24 hour daily road closure.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in the length of Southend from junction of The Green to outside Garsington Manor. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via Southend, B480, Pebble Hill and vice versa.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T16211/AC)

Prohibition of Through Traffic

Date of Order: 22 September 2025

Coming into force: 29 September 2025

This Order is being introduced because of cable excavation and installations which are anticipated to be completed 1 October 2025. This is a 24 hour road closure.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in Mill Lane. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. Access will be maintained for cyclists and pedestrians.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T15942/AC)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

West Hanney, Main Street

Prohibition of Vehicles

Date of Order: 15 September 2025

Coming into force: 22 September 2025

This Order is being introduced to facilitate drainage maintenance and associated works which are anticipated to be completed 7 November 2025. This is a 24 hour road closure and no waiting.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding or waiting in the section of Main Street between The Meads/Church Street and Northmead Lane. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for Winter Lane and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. Access to residents will be maintained via any either Winter Lane or from East Hanney. Access to all roads off the closure which are not closed will remain accessible to all. The alternative route for through traffic will be west along Northmead Lane, to bear north up to Charney Bassett, to turn back west along Lyford Lane, to turn south along Winter Lane, thus returning to West Hanney village, and vice versa.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T16211/AC)

Brill/Nether Solone, Road running north from B4009

Prohibition of Through Traffic

Date of Order: 29 September 2025

Coming into force: 6 October 2025

This Order is being introduced because of excavation for fibre cabling work which is anticipated to take 10 days to complete.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit vehicles proceeding in the road running north from the B4009 towards the church. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. Access to property will be maintained.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T16288/MR)
