This followed a public consultation on the Market Place Conservation Area Appraisal between 2 May 2025 and 13 June 2025.

○ they will benefit from all permitted development rights under Schedule 2 of the Town and Country (General Permitted Development) (England) Order 2015;
○ prior notice under section 211 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 is no longer required to be served on the local planning authority before carrying out proposed works on a tree. However, if a tree is protected by a Tree Preservation Order no person shall cut down, top, lop, uproot, wilfully damage or destruct any tree protected by a Tree Preservation Order except with the written consent of the Council or Secretary of State as appropriate and where said consent is given subject to conditions, in accordance with those conditions.
