Notice is hereby given that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council has made the above Orders on 16 September 2025 under its powers contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which are to reproduce and continue indefinitely the provisions of the City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council Horton Park Primary School (Dawnay Road, Bradford) School Street Experimental Traffic Regulation Order 2024 (sic) and the City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council The Academy at St James (Chelwood Drive, Bradford) School Street Experimental Traffic Regulation Order 2024 respectively. The Orders prohibit the driving of vehicles (other than as excepted therein) as follows: -
City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council Horton Park Primary School (Dawnay Road, Bradford) School Street Traffic Regulation Order 2025 in the length of Dawnay Road from a point 7.5 metres north of the projected northern kerb line of Tamar Street, to a point 48.5 metres west of the projected western kerb line of Powell Avenue, during the hours 8:25am – 8:50am and 3:00pm – 3:25pm, from 1st September to 31st July.
City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council The Academy at St James (Chelwood Drive, Bradford) School Street Traffic Regulation Order 2025 in the length of Chelwood Drive, Bradford from a point 81 metres south of its junction with Bracewell Avenue, to a point 3 metres east of the projected eastern kerb line of Sandalwood Mews, during the hours 8:30 am – 9:00 am and 3:00 pm – 3:30 pm, from 1st September to 31st July.
The Orders come into force on the 19 September 2025 and copies of them together with documents showing more detailed particulars may be examined: during normal office hours at the Customer Services Reception, Ground Floor, City Hall, Bradford, BD1 1HY; or on the Council’s website at https://www.bradford.gov.uk/transport-and-travel/highways/traffic-regulation-order/; or obtained from the Traffic & Road Safety South team, by telephone on 01274431000 or email school.streets@bradford.gov.uk quoting reference number HS/TRSS/105706/SA.
If you wish to question the validity of the Orders, or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirements of that Act or of any Instrument made under it, have not been complied with in relation to the Orders, you may, within six weeks from the date upon which the Orders were made apply to the High Court for this purpose.
