What is planned?

Hertfordshire County Council

Proposal to enlarge Southfield School, Hatfield, by 26 additional places, from September 2026

Notice is given in accordance with section 19(1) of the Education and Inspections Act 2006 that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make a prescribed alteration to Southfield School, Woods Avenue, Hatfield, AL10 8NN, a community special school for children aged 4 – 11 years old with Learning Difficulties, with a capacity to accommodate pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties.

Hertfordshire County Council proposes to enlarge Southfield School by 26 places, increasing the school’s capacity from 100 to 126 places, from September 2026.
