NOTICE OF MAKING OF A PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990, SECTION 257

(Public Footpath 1 (Part) in the Parish of Rushton) Public Path Diversion Order 2025

The above Order was made on the 14 August 2025. The effect of the Order will be to divert part of Public Footpath 1 in the Parish of Rushton commencing at OSGR SJ 5998 6120 then running in a westerly direction for approximately 270 metres to the boundary at OSGR SJ 5977 6122 before heading north for approximately 475 metres to OSGR SJ 5987 6167 to rejoin the existing footpath at SJ 6008 6163. Copies of the Order and plan have been deposited and a scan copy or a postal copy may be requested by email application to the following address PublicRightOfWayWest@cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk or by post to PROW, Highway Office, Guilden Sutton, CH3 7EX.

Any representations about or objections to the Order may be sent in writing or delivered in writing, addressed to the Highway Commissioner, c/o PROW, Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council Highway Office, Guilden Sutton Lane, CH3 7EX not later than 28 days after 18 September 2025. Please state the grounds on which they are made. 

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, then Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council may itself confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation, any representations and objections that have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.
