Notice Of Conservation Area Designation: Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990 – Sections 69 & 70
Chelmsford City Council announces the designation of a new conservation area, following a decision made by the Council’s Cabinet on the 9th September 2025.
North Hill, Little Baddow
North Hill and the adjacent areas are designated as a Conservation Area, to include the following properties: on North Hill; Little Walters, Walters Cottage, Cock Farm, Pledgers Cottage, Fern Cottage, The Rodney, Florence Cottage, Hill Cottages, Sandown, Lower Pyghtle, The Ridings, 1 and 2 Copeland Cottages, 1 and 2 Mays Cottages, Windward, St Andrews Chapel, Yew Hedges, Langlands, Stanhill, Heather Lee, Rose cottage, Coppins, 1-3 Hillside Cottages, Heather Cottage, Holly Cottage, Wood Haven, Warren Farm, Warren Farmhouse, Warren Cottage, The View, Claren Cottage, The Return and number 57, on Holybred Lane; Pilgrims and Hen Cottage, Copies of maps showing the above designated/ extended conservation areas can be accessed via www.chelmsford.gov.uk/planning-and-building-control/ conservation-areas-and-listed-buildings/
