NOTICE OF PLANNING APPEAL

Thanet District Council have refused Planning Application F/TH/24/1296 at Parkside, 54-56 Dane Road, Margate, Kent for Erection of 2 storey mansard roof extension to provide 4no. 2 bed flats with alteration to fenestration, part rendered together with alteration to front porch, on the grounds that the development would affect the setting of a Listed Building.

The refusal has been appealed and is being dealt with by an exchange of written statements between Banana Property Margate Limited and the Council and will be decided by an Inspector appointed by the Secretary of State.

If you made any comments on the original application for planning permission the Council has already sent them to the Planning Inspectorate and they will be taken into account by the Inspector who decides the appeal.

Representations must be received by 17 October 2025 and will be forwarded to the Planning Inspectorate for consideration in the determination of the appeal.
