TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990
The Secretary of State gives notice of an Order made under Section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping up of Highway (North East) (No.17) Order 2025” authorising the stopping up of a length and part width of an unnamed highway to the east of Penistone Road at Middlesbrough in the Borough of Middlesbrough. This is to enable development as permitted by Middlesbrough Council under reference 23/0452/MAJ.
Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State, National Transport Casework Team, Tyneside House, Skinnerburn Road, Newcastle Business Park, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE4 7AR or nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk (quoting NATTRAN/NE/ S247/6031). They may also be inspected during normal opening hours at Penrith Road Post Office, 5-6, Langley Court, Penrith Road, Middlesbrough, TS3 7JE,
Any person who wishes to challenge the validity of the decision to make the Order may apply to the High Court within 6 weeks from 17 September2025.
