TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990

The Secretary of State gives notice of an Order made under Section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Diversion of Highway (South East) (No.33) Order 2025” authorising the stopping up and diversion of a length of footpath lying to the south of Cemetery Lane at Upton Grey in the Borough of Basingstoke and Deane. This is to enable development as permitted by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council under reference 24/02958/FUL.

Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State, National Transport Casework Team, Tyneside House, Skinnerburn Road, Newcastle Business Park, Newcastle upon Tyne NE4 7AR or nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk (quoting NATTRAN/SE/S247/6008). They may also be inspected during normal opening hours at Basingstoke Discovery Centre & Overton Library, Festival Place Shopping Centre, Basingstoke, RG21 7LS.

Any person who wishes to challenge the validity of the decision to make the Order may apply to the High Court within 6 weeks from 11 September 2025.
