On 6 August 2024, Enfield Council submitted the Enfield Local Plan 2019-2041 to the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government in accordance with Regulation 22 of the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012 (as amended).
The Secretary of State appointed Inspector Steven Lee (Hons) MA MRTPI to undertake an independent examination of the Enfield Local Plan 2019-2041. Stage 1 hearings took place in January 2025. Stage 2 hearings took place between June – August 2025.
Enfield Council hereby gives notice that the Stage 3 examination hearings for the Enfield Local Plan will commence on Tuesday 23 October 2025, at 09:30am, at the Civic Centre in Enfield, Silver Street Enfield EN1 3XA.
The public hearings will take place over several weeks. Full details, including the hearing timetable, will be confirmed and published in due course. The hearings are open to the public to attend as observers. Please note that seating will be limited and allocated on a first come, first served basis.
In addition, the hearings will be live-streamed online. A link to the livestream will be provided on the Council’s Local Plan examination webpage https://www.enfield.gov.uk/services/planning/new-enfield-local-plan#enfield-local-plan-regulation-24-2024
Hearing will usually run from 09:30 to 13:00 and 14:00 to 17:30 each day.
