Proposal: T1: White Poplar - crown raise over the highway and carpark by removing secondary and tertiary branches up to a height of 5.2m restricting cut size to 100mm; reduce lateral spread of the crown in a north eastern direction by up to 2m leaving an approximate crown spread of 8m.

Proposal: Ash - Lowest stem to the east: remove three dominant stems growing at approximately 45 degrees from the end of this stem. Sections to be over 4-5m in length, with conventional pruning cuts of around 75mm in diameter. Prune lateral branches to give approximately 2.5m clearance from the adjacent house. Vertical stem on the northern side of the tree: remove one lateral branch growing to the west, as identified in Figure 11, to help reduce torsional movement during wind loading. Branch section to be removed is approximately 4m in length, using a conventional pruning cut around 75mm in diameter.

Proposal:

T1, Magnolia: crown reduction to previous pruning points; reduce northeastern aspect by 1–2m and to shape; crown thin by up to 20%, Maximum Diameter of Cuts (MDC) 50mm.

T2, Purple Leaf Plum: crown reduction by 2m and prune laterals to shape; crown thin by 20% and remove deadwood.

T3, Magnolia: crown reduction to retain an approximate 2.5–3m radius; reduce height to shape accordingly; crown thin lightly, MDC 50–75mm.

These works are proposed as part of the reasonable and responsible maintenance of these garden trees.
