The ivy growth and damage allowed water ingress, which resulted in water damage/rotting and structural failing, to two main structural purlins, lintels, door frame and cracked guttering.
Repair work required to rectify damage to the roof timbers, tiles, leadwork, Windows, lintels, and openings, temporary structural support to ensure safety to the main purlin and structurally unstable suspended internal chimney stack.
Repairs to include relaying all original reclaimed materials where possible, restoring windows, frames, doors, and where this is not possible due to excessive damage to replace with the same material, ie oak or softwood support timbers.

A copy of each application will be available for inspection from 9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. Monday to Friday at Parkside, Burton Street, Melton Mowbray
LE13 1GH. They will also be available on the website www.melton.gov.uk/viewplans,  from where comments can be submitted.
Any person who wishes to make representations to the Council, should do so in writing to within 21 days from the publication of this notice. Any representations submitted will become available for public inspection.
For householder applications, in the event of an appeal dealt with by representations in writing, any representations made about this application will be sent to the Secretary of State, and there will be no further opportunity to comment at appeal stage.
