Replacement of five windows and six internal door frames and doors. Replacement of four internal door frames and doors on the first floor (serving three bedrooms and a bathroom) – The current door frames are not original to the cottage, having been installed during mid-to-late 20th century renovations prior to the building being listed. The existing internal door heights (approximately 176–181 cm) are proposed to be raised to 195 cm to improve accessibility and proportions. The new height also visually aligns with a non-structural, exposed beam that runs through the upstairs hallway. The upstairs ceiling height is 243 cm, allowing ample space for the taller door frames without the visual appearing disproportionate. Replacement doors will be solid timber, lined to improve insulation and reintroduce a sense of period character to the interiors. Only modern plasterboard will be affected; no historic finishes or fabric will be disturbed. Replacement of two internal ground-floor door frames and doors (to the front living room and the dining room/reception) – These door frames are also not original. The door height in the front living room (currently 179 cm internal, 184 cm at outer edge) will be modestly increased to 190cm, remaining in proportion to the ceiling height of 220 cm. The door to the dining room/rear

Reason(s): Listed Building and/or curtilage.
