What is planned?

The Secretary of State gives notice of an Order made under Section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping up of Highway (West Midlands) (No.17) Order 2025” authorising the stopping up of an irregular shaped southern part width of Queens Road at Nuneaton, in the Borough of Nuneaton and Bedworth. This is to enable development as permitted by Nuneaton & Bedworth Borough Council, under reference 039980.

Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State, National Transport Casework Team, Tyneside House, Skinnerburn Road, Newcastle Business Park, Newcastle upon Tyne NE4 7AR or nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk (quoting NATTRAN/WM/ S247/5981). They may also be inspected during normal opening hours at Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council, Town Hall, Coton Road, Nuneaton CV11 5AA.

Any person who wishes to challenge the validity of the decision to make the Order may apply to the High Court within 6 weeks from 10 September 2025.
