What is planned?

HIGHWAYS

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984,  makes or intends to make the following Orders.

ASHFORD AREA

Appledore Road, Kenardington. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2025

To allow pole and cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Appledore Road, Kenardington from 2nd October 2025, with estimated completion by 3rd October 2025, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from outside Brittons Hill Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Appledore Road, B2067 Kenardington Road, Woodchurch Road, Bench Hill, Warehorne Road, D1305 11 Acre Wood Lane Junction With B2067 To D1291 Junction With D1305 11 Acre Wood Lane and High House Lane.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Birchett Lane, Hamstreet. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER SEPTEMBER 2025

To allow overhead cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Birchett Lane, Hamstreet, from 15th September 2025, for up to one day, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of St Thomas Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Longrope, Church Lane, Woodchurch Road, Hornash Lane, Hamstreet Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Harris Lane, High Halden. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER SEPTEMBER 2025

To allow pole and cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Harris Lane, High Halden from 30th September 2025, with estimated completion by 1st October 2025, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the entrance to The Paddock, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Harris Lane, Thurstons Lane, Cripple Hill, A28 Ashford Road, Bull Lane, Pot Kiln Lane, High Halden Road From Pb To Pb and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Kingsmill Down, Hastingleigh. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER SEPTEMBER 2025

To allow pole and cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Kingsmill Down, Hastingleigh, from 19th September 2025, with estimated completion by 22nd September 2025, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the entrance to the property Kingsmill Down, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Kingsmill Down, Pilgrims Way, New Barn Hill, New Barn Road, The Street, Evington Road From Junction With The Street To Boundary Line, From Dean Bottom To District Boundary, Glory Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Pett Lane, Charing, TN27 0DN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER SEPTEMBER 2025

To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Pett Lane, Charing, from 15th September 2025, with estimated completion by 19th September 2025, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between The Glebe and Woodbrook, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Pett Lane, High Street, Old Ashford Road, A20 Ashford Road and Wicken Lane.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Sandhurst Lane, Rolvenden, TN17 4PG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER SEPTEMBER 2025

To allow pole and cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Sandhurst Lane, Rolvenden, from 19th September 2025, with estimated completion by 22nd September 2025, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junction with B2086 Benenden Road and number 4, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2086 Benenden Road, Regent Street, A28 High Street, Hastings Road, Alder Lane, Sandhurst Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Shoreham Lane, Tenterden, TN30 6EG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER SEPTEMBER 2025

To allow new water connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Shoreham Lane, Tenterden, from 15th September 2025, with estimated completion by 17th September 2025, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of number 1 The Garden, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Shoreham Lane, A28 Ashford Road, Grange Road, Shoreham Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Spot House Lane, Warehorne. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER SEPTEMBER 2025

To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Spot House Lane, Warehorne from 18th September 2025, with estimated completion by 19th September 2025, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the entrance to Tuckers Farm and the entrance to Parsonage Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Spot House Lane, Woodchurch Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Stock Lane, Brabourne. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2025

To allow pole and cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Stock Lane, Brabourne from 2nd October 2025, with estimated completion by 3rd October 2025, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Canterbury Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via The Street, Pilgrims Way, Stock Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
