Notice of application to vary a full licence to abstract (take) water C.J Bean and Sons has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.


The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application, in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.


The application is to vary licence serial number 09/188 which authorises the abstraction of water from underground strata comprising of chalk in Deal and Sandwich, Kent. Abstraction is licensed from the National Grid References TR 33226 57091 and TR 32999 56288.


The variation applied for is to only increase the annual quantity to be abstracted from 34,096 cubic metres per year to 47,735 cubic metres per year.


The increase in these annual quantities are provided through a permanent water rights trade with licence number 9/40/04/0436/G.
